MOMMY & ME (Ages 2 - 3.5)
This class provides a wonderful opportunity for a parent and child to spend time together dancing. The child will learn to strengthen their motor skills by developing a sense of balance and control through dance related movement. The children will enjoy games, use props, sing, dance and even tumble. And the best part is that you as a parent get to be there with your child.
Parent and child wear comfortable clothing: sweatpants, t-shirts with comfortable athletic shoes. Dancewear (leotard and tights) with ballet slippers is fine for the children. Tap shoes are not needed. Dancewear is not required for the parent.
CREATIVE DANCE (Ages 2.5 - 3.5)
This class offers the beginning student a structured curriculum while still incorporating fun. Teachers will capture the child’s attention with familiar songs, fun props, singing and pretending. This class will include a combination of ballet, tap and tumbling, and provides the child with a basic knowledge of dances names and steps as they prepare themselves to move into the next level of discipline.
Dance leotard (any color), ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black patent tap shoes, any detachable chiffon skirt (optional). No attached skirts and no tutus! Hair is to be worn up if it is long. A ponytail is permissible at this age.
PRE-DANCE (Ages 3.5 - 5)

COMBO (Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Jazz) (Ages 5 - 7)
This class will be a combination of either ballet/tap or ballet/jazz. The class will progress and move at a faster pace in comparison to the Pre-dance level. Students will be challenged more in terms of learning and perfecting dance moves and terminology. They will be required to concentrate more on what they are learning while still having fun.
Students are to come dressed for ballet. Dance leotard (any color), ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and any color detachable chiffon skirt (optional). Black patent tap shoes will be needed for Ballet/tap combo classes, and jazz shoes are optional for ballet/jazz combo classes. Hair is to be worn up in a bun or ponytail.
JAZZ
This class focuses on technique and style through strong and sharp movements. This class emphasizes strength and stretch in the warm-up and practices those entities in technique across the floor and routines center floor.
Jazz pants, legging and tights under bike shorts are permissible. Jazz capris or jazz split skirt is ok. Tank or fitted t-shirt is an appropriate top. Clothing with spandex works well. No baggy clothing and no jewelry. Hair is to be worn up and secured in a ponytail or bun. Black split sole style jazz shoes are to be worn.
LYRICAL
This class use motion to interpret music and express emotion. Dancers will learn to demonstrate balance, extension, isolations and control utilizing the lyrics or mood of the music. Lyrical requires solid ballet technique as well as experience in jazz.
A form-fitting top or tank top is acceptable. No T-shirts are worn in Lyrical. Wear convertible tights, leggings, jazz capris or jazz pant and come barefoot. If you want to wear shoes, jazz shoes or half-soles are acceptable. Hair is to be worn up and secured.

TAP
This class is a class based on precise rhythmical patterns made by the tap sounds. Tap is performed by making tap sounds with the taps on the heel and toe of the tap shoe.
Wear comfortable lightweight clothing so movement is not restricted. Capris, sweatpants, shorts or loose fitting pants with a T-shirt. Recommended tap shoes: Bloch or Capezio, oxford style.
BALLET VARIATIONS
This ballet class learns classic variations passed down through the years as well as original variations choreographed by Michelle Halsband. Original choreography will be from ballets such as Four Swans, Le Corsaire, Raymonda, Le Bayadere, and Don Quixote.

CONTEMPORARY
This class is a fusion of jazz and contemporary vocabulary, with an emphasis in technique, choreography and performance. The class will explore the art of dance as not just movement, but an artistic expression.
Dress code same as Jazz.
ACRO-DANCE
This class is designed to help dancers improve their overall agility and strength by incorporating pilates techniques. It is an introductory class that will help dancers reach their maximum efficiency giving them exact energy, precision and technique.
Fitted clothes. Bike shorts with either a leotard, crop top or fitted tank. No shoes required. Hair to be worn off face.
TUMBLING
This class is a gymnastics class where students will learn a variety of moves such as somersaults, rolls, and handsprings. This class is taught without the use of special apparatus.

AERIAL DANCE
This exciting new dance form is like dancing on air. Classes in Aerial Dancing will challenge you mentally, physically and emotionally. This class is taught with ribbons suspended from the ceiling and it will increase your muscle tone and flexibility.
A unitard or leotard and leggings. A tucked in t-shirt is not allowed. Form fitting tights or workout pants that cover the back of your knees as well as a form fitting long sleeved shirt that covers your arms completely from wrist to shoulder. Jewelry and body peircing must be removed or covered with a band aid. Men are required to wear a dance belt or support briefs. Long hair must be tied back or braided.
PILATES
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. This form of exercise focuses on the core which helps with balance and control of the entire body. It teaches body awareness and good posture while improving strength and flexibility.
Wear comfortable clothing such as sweat pants or yoga pants and t-shirt. Bare feet or socks are fine. A foam mat is recommended for this class.
JAZZ CHOREOGRAPHY
This class is designed to aid in performance technique. The dancers will learn new choreography each week, in which they will be asked to apply both style and technique.
Dress code same as Jazz.
HIP HOP
This class is an athletic class. Hip hop dance consists of breaking, popping and locking combined with some common dance techniques. It is a high energy class dance to upbeat, rhythmical music.
Wear comfortable lightweight clothing so movement is not restricted. Capris, sweatpants, shorts (knee length) or loose fitting pants with a T-shirt. No short shorts, booties shorts, shirts or skorts. Kneepad recommended. Sturdy lace-up athletic shoes are recommended. No bare feet or jazz shoes.
ART FUSION THRU THE DECADES (Ages Kinder thru Adult)
Perfroming and Visual Arts. Art, music, movement and story as it pertains to certain decades. Students will learn about the arts from a certain decade and how they influence each other. Students will create a variety of art projects, music history lessons, participate in theater exercises, group improv and journal writing or drawing.

SPECIAL NEEDS ART FUSION SATURDAY CAMP (Ages Kinder thru 18)
Perfroming and Visual Arts. Art, music, movement and story as it pertains to certain decades. Students will learn about the arts from a certain decade and how they influence each other. Students will create a variety of art projects, music history lessons, participate in theater exercises, group improv and journal writing or drawing.
Wear comfortable lightweight clothing so movement is not restricted.
ART FUSION FOR TEACHERS
Offered in day long workshops or once a week for 6 weeks. Workshops specifically designed for teachers to introduce and train teachers in the art fusion method. Sample art lessons and lesson plans will be thoroughly discussed and taught. Teachers will receive ideas for classroom decor, arts programs, integration of arts and core subjects. We also offer an entire arts fusion program with assemblies and classroom workshops.
LITTLE DEGAS (Ages 3 - 8)
For our youngest students. We offer 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of visual art class. Both disciplines will be inspired by a weekly dance along with art vocabulary and history.
Wear comfortable lightweight clothing so movement is not restricted. Dancewear (leotard and tights) with ballet slippers is fine for the children.
ART (Ages 5 - adult)
Visual art classes in all wet and dry media. The following are specific art classes: Street Art-graffiti and animation; Portfolio class-college prep; Drawing and Painting-color theory, basic to advanced drawing techniques with all media, basic to advanced painting techniques with all water based media.

BOYS ART (Ages 5 - 16)
Visual art classes geared specifically for boys tastes and desires. Building, sculpture, drawing, animation and computer design will be points of inspiration for this class. Great fro brothers of dancers!

SET DESIGN PRODUCTION (Ages 9 - 16)
Learn how to design, construct and paint sets and props for our recital. Students will learn basic drawing and painting skills. They will then learn how to take a 2-d drawing or painting and make it 3-d. Students will get exposure to basic wood working and various other building materials. Issues of size, transportation, practicality, cost, durability, visibility, dimensions and how pieces are going to be used are all issues and problems that this group of students will get to solve. This class challenges every part of the right and left brain! Students walk away with an appreciation for the "parts" of the show that create whole and wonderful life skills while enhancing their art and design vocabulry and techniques. Limited to 10 students.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Custom birthday parties. Two hour parties including art, dance, theater games or gymnastics. Parties also include child's choice of games like Little SAlly Walker, Bingo, Hot Potatoe, book hunt, relays or art contest. MUSICAL THEATER (Ages 3 - 5)
This "first time" class is perfect for both the little-one with an outgoing personality, ready to perform, or the reserved type, just beginning to come out of their shell. The musical theater class introduces the students, in a structured, yet fun way to music, dance and acting. Through fun theater games, singing exercises, and dance numbers your child will begin to explore the performing world; build their confidence and skills to an entirely new level. Small musical numbers incorporating singing, dancing and expression will be taught and performed throughout the class sessions.

MUSICAL THEATER (Ages 5 - 14)
Participants will learn the basic skills necessary to perform in musical theater, incorporating singing, acting and dance. This class is designed not only to introduce students to the world of musical theater, but also to help make them, as we call it in the industry, a "triple threat". They will learn how to perform scenes and songs from some of the most popular Broadway Musicals and will hold small performances throughout the class session.

ACTING SKILLS (Ages 10 and up)
This class is perfect for both the more experienced young actor or anyone who wants to give acting a try. Students will be introduced to basic acting skills and stage terminology. Through improvisational theater games and exercises, strong acting techniques and character development will be encouraged, by allowing students to create scenes and characters from their imaginations. Scenes and monologues from actual plays will be learned and informally perfromed throughout the class session.

CREATIVE DRAMATICS (Ages 5 - 9)
This class is all about allowing students to be creative in the process of creating acting performances. Through a variety of theater gams and fun acting exercises, students will learn to create short skits and plays developed through improvisation, storytelling, and pantomime. In this class, students will be encouraged to use their imaginations in a fun and structured way through acting, which allows expression and builds confidence. Small informal performances, allowing parents to see what their child is learning and doing in class, will be held throughout the class session.
